Role Description

Are you an English copywriter?

As a copywriter, you will be working closely with the content manager and other creative team members to conceptualize, develop, improve, and maintain original creative copy to achieve the project goals.

A storyteller, the copywriter is responsible for developing and executing creative ideas with a keen focus on language, script writing, tone of voice, and narratives following company guidelines and brand identity.

Required Skills

Primarily, you should be skilled in:

  • Create different styles of English content, like website content, blogs, training and presentation material, video scripts for speeches, and social media posts.
  • Work closely with the product and UX teams to write clear and user-friendly product copy.
  • Collaborating with product teams to write and update customers knowledge bases
  • Translating documents, proposals, and other content as and when necessary
  • Edit and proofread copy to ensure high editorial standards and the appropriate tone of voice.
  • Utilize SEO practices to optimize content.
  • Use data-driven insights to help personalize content across the entire customer base.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all company communications.

Qualifications & Certificates

You are also expected to have:

  • Fluency in both English and Arabic (verbal and written)
  • Bachelor’s degree in English literature, communication, journalism, marketing, or any other relevant field
  • Familiarity with content management systems is an advantage.
  • Experience in shaping content for multi-disciplinary projects
  • preferred experience in UX-focused writing Experience in developing content style guidelines and strategies
  • Preferable experience in user-focused product writing, including work in software, a digital agency, or another relevant product area
  • Ability to generate creative concepts and copy and clearly communicate creative direction to others.
  • Ability to create content using different tones of voice and across different platforms, from short creatives (i.e., social media, banner ads) to long articles.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of using WordPress for websites, blogs, and article updates would be a plus.
