Role Description

The Outlook Support Engineer will be responsible for supporting and advising enterprise customers using Microsoft Outlook. The engineer will work closely with customers to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Outlook, including installation, configuration, and usage. The engineer will also collaborate with other teams within Microsoft to identify and resolve issues related to Outlook and other Microsoft products that interact with Outlook.

• You own, investigate, and solve complex customer technical issues and act as an advisor to the
customer, collaborating within and across teams, leveraging troubleshooting tools, and
• You lead in building communities with peer delivery roles and share your knowledge through
readiness programs, technical coaching, and mentoring of others.
• You deepen your technical and professional proficiency to enable you to resolve complex
customer issues through training and readiness.
Product/Process Improvement
• You engage with Microsoft Engineering and Supportability teams to investigate potential products.
defects and help develop automation techniques and diagnostic tools driving Microsoft products.

Qualifications & Certificates

Required/Minimum Qualifications:
• Hands-on working experience in technical support, technical consulting domain, or
information technology experience OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science,
Information technology (IT) or a related field.
• Ability to perform network tracing and analysis with experience using relevant tools and
• 1+ years of experience in technical support or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and other Microsoft products.
• Basic knowledge of what is a mailbox, authentication, auto-discover, and mailbox
Permissions, Delegation of Mailbox, Group Policy, Encryption, Outlook Addin, Outlook
Profile, Outlook Rules, DNS, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, Domain Controller)
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written communication skills.
Language Requirement:
English Language: confident in reading, writing, and speaking.
It will be an added advantage if the candidate is fluent in German and/or French.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
• Being certified in Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (Ms. 900) is a plus.
