Role Description

As an Azure Networking Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to clients utilizing Microsoft Azure networking services. You will troubleshoot and resolve complex networking issues, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the smooth operation of Azure-based networks. Your deep understanding of networking concepts and Azure services will be essential in delivering exceptional customer service and driving customer satisfaction.

 

  • Provide advanced technical support to customers, addressing complex networking issues related to Microsoft Azure services.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity, performance, and security issues across various Azure networking components.
  • Collaborate with customers to gather information, reproduce issues, and perform in-depth analysis to identify root causes.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to escalate and resolve critical issues and contribute to the improvement of Azure networking services.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, best practices, and solutions in internal and customer-facing knowledge bases.
  • Keep up to date with the latest Azure networking features, updates, and industry trends.
  • Participate in regular training and skill development to enhance technical expertise.

Qualifications & Certificates

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in a technical support role, with a focus on networking and cloud technologies
  • Strong understanding of core networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routing, VRF, VXLAN, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and VPNs
  • And/or a strong understanding of Layer 7 technologies such as reverse proxy, web application firewall, content delivery networks (CDN), and dynamic site acceleration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure networking services, including Virtual Networks, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, Azure Load Balancer, and ExpressRoute, is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate and/or Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate and/or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert are a plus.
