The parliamentary committees for economy and investment and digital economy and entrepreneurship held a joint meeting on Monday, December 11. The meeting included discussions with a group of investors in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector.
The session reflected the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II to empower and support Jordanian investors. As it were, the aim is to address challenges, explore issues facing the communications and information technology sectors, and boost the investment environment in Jordan, deemed suitable across various sectors.
Concerns were raised about the status of Jordanian companies in various fields, such as cybersecurity, where the influx of foreign companies has affected opportunities for local businesses. Attendees highlighted challenges in education, urging faster approval processes for new academic programs to meet evolving market needs.
The meeting was attended by representatives of various companies, including Mutaz H. Nabulsi, CEO of Estarta.
